Mr. Kailash Nath Johry

Mr. Kailash Nath Johry obtained his M.Sc. in Inorganic Chemistry. He spent 6 years on research in Complex (Inorganic) Compounds at the University of Lucknow, India and later in Defence Science Organisation. In 1958 he joined the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) of India. In 1966, he was appointed Science Attaché at the Indian High Commission in London. On his return to India in 1971, he joined the newly set up Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India and after 2 years, went back to the CSIR as Head of the International Scientific Collaboration before joining the NAM S&T Centre in March 1992 as its Director. Mr. Johry, a Fellow of the Chemical Society and Society of Information Sciences, has 29 publications to his credit. He was the Executive Secretary of the Association for Science Cooperation in Asia (ASCA), Member for Asia on the Executive of World Association of Scientific and Technological Research Organisation (WAITRO) during 1982-86 and President of the Society for Information Science during 1984-86.
